I may be wrong, but by looking at your original pics, i think you put your lower cups in upside down and thats why the truck sat so high. They didnt need to be cut. They look like the ones that are designed to be recessed into the lower control arm. Its suppsed to be a cup and it looks like you used it as a pedistal?
These arnt my pics, but this is how they install. That way the bag sits lower in the control arm so you get the proper drop. You cut an 8" hole in the lower arm and weld the cups in.
Either way, this would be an easy way for you to get more drop. Its just 8" pipe with a cap on one end. Trace it out on the lower arm, cut it out, fit the cup into the control arm and weld it. I am going to do mine this way. Plus you can run a lower ride height with more bag pressure. As long as i get 4 inches of lift off the ground then I am happy.
