From the picture, I estimate this tank to be 5+ yrs old. Thats OK, we stand behind our products. As Ogre stated, "the tank is fine". Yes, ethonal addatives in the fuel have changed the game. We now use, and have since 2008, the factory Gm polypropolyne feed hose. Here are some of the difficulties we have here.
1) I have no data in any of our computers for "Ogre" so I can't look up the order.
2) There are no 'PM's anywhere I can find them on this subject to help solve it.
3) I would be glad to send out the updated hose, even though I didn't change the fuel mix, (call the ethonal guys) but I need someone to call and give us the info of where to send it. It sounds like this has happened a few times, so I guess it's no surprise that it happened again. CALL and we can help you.
4) Most fuel sending units are 'universal', and have to be fitted to the tank. Sorry, but if you order a tank, and add a sender to the order, we don't install it for you. You have to read the instructions and fit the sender. Common float arm length for our tanks is 4.8" to 5.3", so you must cut the float arm to fit. Also, the stock guage of a 55-59 chevy is 0-90 ohm, I hope the 0-30 is the correct match for your guage.
