I would think you would have to have a tapered seat in those "new drilled" holes,... for the lugnut to tighten and seat correctly.
Maybe a set of 5x5.5 to 5x5 adapters would be a safer answer.
(I know that won't allow you to run the truck ralley wheel center cap)
