now we know what we are dealing with. there are alternative in this installation. if you can find an orig 60-62 v8 bellhousing it will solve your your clutch linkage situation and bolt onto the crossmember, simplifying that. you can use the 67 and down b/housing and run you hydr linkage on the drivers side and still bolt to the crossmember. I do not know whether or not the 68 and up b/housing will bolt into the c/member but am quie sure that some one will state that. using the appropriate flywheel with that eng is no problem as long as you use the corresponding starter. you can look at Makeb's thread on his front eng mounting which is pretty straight forward . that will take all of the guesswork out of it and you will be going down the road in no time
Capt fab should be able to help you on a couple of items for the install and others who have done the same number will help you with info
lot do use an a/trans with this install and it simplifies the clutch linkage problem
