A "shop made" shift kit is just drilling some holes bigger in the separator plate, Omit some checkballs, They might even double feed the direct's, Ive used this method in the past....But for the money a Trans-Go SK-350

There is NO WAY you can build a stock 700R4 for $525, And do what really needs to be done....Much less with a case & "all the upgrades".
