"Squeal" (hi pitched) or "moan" (low growl)?
In either case, you may be able to help if you knock the ends off the shoes, so that the pressure is concentrated more to the center of the brake shoe.
As Rusty mentioned, too, sometimes if the drums get "glazed" (ie, too shiney) or have just been cut (and have remaining screw thread type grooves) you can get into noise problems.
