Not meaning to argue dude, but he asked if he needed a c-notch after a flip kit. How is that not what he is asking?

I answered no because I have an axle flip AND I do not have a c-notch and it works just fine (its my daily-driver too).

It all depends on his rear springs if they are already sagging from age and/or if they have been replaced with a higher spring rate spring pack, yet the ride height was unchanged.
