Re: Gloss or semi gloss black?
Each OEM used a slightly different shade of semi gloss depending on where they bought their paint from. Core supports, horns, brackets, inner fenders, rear ends, control arms, frames, etc, all had just a slightly different hue and "glossiness". Just about any semi gloss or satin will provide good results. The corvette restorers say John Deere blitz black is a very good choice.
