Like i said, you can get a decent light for $30 or more. If you use it every day, i wouldn't get a cheap one, but i only use mine 3 or 4 times a year tops, so cheap is good

The kind that measures total advance is night (dial back timing light isn't it??), but you can also measure total advance by putting timing tape on your harmonic balancer, which is what i use.
