Have you ran into any problems with 2.5 drop spindles 3" springs in the front with 17" wheels? Along with 4" springs and 2" blocks on the back with 18x9.5 wheels?

You can do what I am in the process of doing. I used terms like parting truck, part truck, part c10 etc in my local craigslist and found someone local parting out a 74 (you could go 73-87). For $200 I got from the a-arms out, sway bar, steering box and pump, proportioning valve for the brakes, and the steering linkage. The big advantage is cheaper replacement parts, rubber bushings on the control arms and disk brakes/power steering.
