Here is a 'good' pic of one. See how the wheel wells don't match? If it was from another angle, you'd see the bottom doesn't matcht eh cab too well either. The top of the bed seems a bit high too.
But, to each there own. I will say that for not being made for one another, it is one that can be pulled off and looks kinda OK.
As far as locating a proper step side bed, anything from 55second series up to 87 will work with your good 67 - 72 fenders. It won't be a 100% match, but pretty much no one will be able to tell.
