The '87 and up trucks used electronic driven speedo's. The manual transmissions also were setup to use a hydraulic clutch only. You can always use a CableX to drive the speedo, but they are $300.00. The only other OEM 5 speed that has a manual speedo drive is the T5.

T5 huh, who would want one of those?, or at least in stock form...
I don't mind going to hydraulic clutch.
I will ponder this for for a while and figure out what trans to use.
