Hi PurdueSD, heres a couple of pikkys of the truck just after we got it, and a couple after the rolled rear pan was fitted.. I took the wheels & tyres off another long term project & the fitted very nicely under the guards with the stock width Jag rear end (xj6 series 2 around 1975 or so).
If the rear end was a bit narrower, then I could have fitted up my 15*10 chromies and wider whitewalls, but 15*8 is as wide as I can go with the stock width Jag.
The rims came from Summit Racing & from memory are US Wheel 52 Series chromies with the stock offset, so nothing hard to get and about US$83 each.
The gas tank in the final pikky didnt stay there for very long. Was a great idea in theory, but we couldnt hide it away well enough. Tyres are Goodyears as I couldnt get any BFGs at the time. They are pretty ugly but okay hidden under the guards.
