Yes, I've used Monroe Sensa-Trac's before on a 83 K5 Blazer. They were good at first but wore out very quickly. With only about 25k miles on the set, I took them out and put the old Rancho's back on. The Monroe's were completely wiped out.

The Rancho's are not in any way stiff. If that's the case, it's the truck, not the shock.
