Hey bignbad,
if I recall correctly, the HO72 I have under my 72 had 3" wide brake shoes. Took all that stuff off and saved about 75 pounds of weight in the process.
I do believe the axle diameter is beefier at some dimension also. The HO72 was designed for 1 ton trucks ... but it fits nice under 1/2 and 3/4's too.
I did have to reposition the shock mounting tabs on the axle tubes for my truck.
Detroit Locker in there never let me down yet.
