I did something like this about 8 yrs ago.. had a buddy that was an import tuner that bought an "tuner exhaust" for his mitsu mirage and the company sent the wrong one. They sent the right one and never asked for the old one back. It was at least 6-7 in in diameter about 8in long. I welded it up on my 89 Cheyenne with a 350 and it sounded good. it surprised everyone except me.

Most of the tuner style exhaust is usually a glass pack /resonator /straight through style with or without a resonating tip.
