Depends what you want in the end. Just to have the wood look? Sure you can get snap together flooring and cut it to fit....it gives a wood look and looks decent, but weathers very poorly.

Imo it would be very hard to get a "useable" wood bed out of the deal, especially since you have the added depth and weight of the wood. I think that getting marine plywood, good quality wood veneer and about 6 coats of clear would get you a removeable wood-look bed, so when you want to actually haul stuff you can take it out and not ruin it, then toss it in for cruising and shows.

my 66 had the wood floor rotted out so I made a new floor subframe and make a 3 piece removeable bed out of TREX, I'll be getting rhino-lined to make damn near impervious bed, which will look good and match my truck.
