Have you checked with FED EX Ground. I was just there the other day and a fella sent some pickup doors to Florida using them. Wrapped in sturdy cardboard, 1 door in each box. Use some 1/2" thin sheets of syrofoam for padding, light wieght and seems to get the job done for protection. I just sent a tailgate out that way.
