You'll like the drop shackles.  I don't remember the process I went through to get them on but I put the truck on jack-stands so I could adjust the axle with the jack. Also saw your post about doing a 5/5 drop. Not sure you want to do that. The back will be higher than the front. Would need to do a 5/7 for levelness. I think that might be too low for you. If you wanted you could get a lowering hangar for the rear (since you got the shackles) and that'd give you a 4ish drop in the back. Could get 3" front spindles or 2.5" spindles to get the front level. Just a thought. What are your other plans for the truck? |
Yeah, really want to replace that bumper, PO did it, not a fan. And I agree with 5" being a little too much, I think for right now I'm going to put the shackles on and leave it there. Future plans are Satin Black Paint, Fix some of the rust, billet grille, fancy new tail lights, toolbox in bed, finish blacking out interior, and anything that comes along the way.
