you must have the wrong radiator. does the botom "spickit" curve upward? if not you have the wrong radiator and that is the problem. i've been driving a 71 for the past 6yrs and have to replace mine once every year for the same reason. i have a 78-87 G body 3 core rad in mine and it has a straight "spickit" hose rubs on the upward curve on the frame. the correct radiator for a 67-72 GM truck has a lower "spicket" that curves upward to clear the frame. you need the right radiator for your truck.
