Trust me here. I've done this. Two options.
1) Driveshaft from an early to mid 80's shortbed V8 truck with factory overdrive tranny. Straight in swap as long as your engine is in the proper V8 position. I used one from an 83 short bed 305/ 700 R4 truck. Bolts in....
2) driveshaft from a 67-72 short bed 3 speed 6 cylinder truck. Again bolts in.
9 out of 10 people here do not know, but stock 67-72 short bed 6 cylinder 3 speed trucks came factory with 1 piece driveshafts. They work perfectly for this swap. I've done it twice.
