A few recommendations. If it is an overdrive 3 speed, I would remove the governor and solenoid from the tranny before shipment. When I shipped mine via UPS, they coveniently broke the governor by dropping the tranny on that side. Both of those parts protrude from the tranny and are difficult to replace if they are broken. You have to be careful on the weight for UPS. My seller crated, then found it was too heavy for UPS. He then boxed it to make the weight. When I tried to make a claim against UPS, they said it wasn't adequately packaged and denied coverage under the shipping insurance.

Good luck with shipment. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend UPS.
