Regarding RPO
Z20 Engine Conversion Equipment, this is in the 1966 Assembly Manual. It did several things-
(1) Threaded plugs were installed where the AIR tubes would go into the head
(2) Thermostat was replaced, presumably with a different opening temperature
(3) On L6 engines, the oil fill cap was replaced with a screw-on, non-vented one and a hole was plugged with a grommet
(4) It also concerns the distributor but pages A3 & A4 are missing
So -
• Apparently ’66 was the first year for this option
• It applied to all engines for CK10, 20, 30, and P10, L6 and V8 (???)
• K19 (Air Injection Reactor) and Z20 were mutually exclusive
• There’s no indication this was Fremont-only
There’s a lot left to understand here. Not sure why this was needed.
