Question for you guys. I'm converting to the 72 style cable operated gas pedal. I installed the LFD 72 gas pedal conversion plate and noticed that the the stock steel bracket that holds the pedal in place is huge. Do I really need it in stock form for some reason or can I just cut it down to just the part that holds the gas pedal bar in place? Cut it just above the top two screws that hold it in place.
