Re: 1972 door ?
I had found that the doors from 1967 thru 1971 are all the same. The 1972 doors have the dimple you are speaking of under the vent window. This makes the door (skins?) more rigid or so I have read. The 1972 doors have longer window and door release handle posts to allow for a thicker panel (inside plastic one I think) other then that most folks say that the doors are interchangable. My concern was that the 1972 doors were unique and were a thicker door body. I did not want to find a good set of doors from a 1967-1971 truck and have a fit issue after I started the repair.
I am going to attempt to fix my doors but after i strip them down I may be in the market for replacements if they have too much rot on the upper hinge areas.
