Thanks, I bought the whole motor from the original owner. Most definitely a wealth of information shared on here! I thought I knew stuff about these trucks, until I came to this place! WOW, the info and the trucks are insane! Correct, about the numbers...the guy I got it from let me part the truck out, the tranny was already gone, I don't know if it was a 350 or 400, could've been the reason it was left to die. But what the rest of the numbers QB 1749 means is a mystery to me...It wasn't in the gurus chart, unless I overlooked it...I'm guessing jet sizes? lol I'll bet chip is shaking his head at me right now, cause he knows exactly what it means! lol
