Re: Best type of angle grinder

A friend of mine got a 6 amp 4.5in HF one and man that thing is awesome its only had one problem where he dropped it and it cracked the rear half of the housing which is 2 piece i believe and it wobbles back there but other than that its a great grinder but now he got a dewalt for xmas which is a 7 amp and is nice

I bought 2 ryobi 4.5in long handled version and by design i would go so far as to say they are superior in design to any other grinders ive used but their motors are so weak its upsetting im gonna buy another

All wired 4.5in grinders i have used
Makita - good power
Ryobi (4.4A) - great design but no power
Milwaukee (7A) - good power but where the head bolts to body will crack over time and its pot metal
Dewalt - good power, seemed heavier than the rest but nothing crazy
Metabo - good power *Same as the one posted i believe*

I don't know the amps on all of them but if it says good power i assume its 7A or above if i was to buy any of them again it would be the milwaukee even with its problem it just seemed to have crazy good power even if i put a lot of weight on it but i will go for a bigger amp like a 9, 10 or 11 amp
