Tall tires will help. A lot of our trucks have much smaller o.d. Tires than they did originally .this in effect lowers ratio.
There are some good sites that you can plug your gearing and tire size into and it will calculate you rom at a givin speed.
you could also pick up a three speed with the overdrive on the back. I have seen two recently. complete for $150 at a swap meet. You can keep the 3 on the tree linkage that way.
