Re: Project - '69 4x4 named "Patches"
Finished converting my non-AC cab to an AC cab this weekend.
The Vintage Air kit came with templates for the vents which made it pretty easy to get them located. Nothing elaborate, but here are a few pictures of the progress.
Locating the driver's side vent.
The kit also came with a template to help locate the center louver. I was a little nervous about making this cut because of the contour of the dash at this location. I was concerned about getting it centered and level. But it went well.
The VA kit had some of the mounting bolts, for the evaporator, coming through the exterior firewall, but in keeping with the smooth firewall theme I welded some bolts to the inside of the firewall.
Like I said earlier, nothing elaborate, but progress just the same.
