Try this again. I thought you guys may like this. I replaced the wood in the bed of my 64 and looking at the old wood I decided it had too much character to just throw away. My wife has been on my butt to install some fake shutters in the front of the house but I keep finding better things to do (like take a nap). Here is what I did....

Here is what I started with.

I used the best of what I had and made 2 24x30 sheets.

I shaped the top (arch) and then used a router to allow the cross braces to be recessed. They were very helpful in adding strength to the sheets.

I thought it was a cool way to use the old wood. I have yet to hang them....it will be a good project for the summer.
