It is just as easy to disassemble the front end as it is to take it off in one piece. If you are doing it by yourself, it's the only way to do it. If you are going to go through the trouble of taking the cab off to clean, you might as well take the fenders apart too so you can repaint and clean.

The cab is a different story. If you have a lift... get after it. If you don't, I would think long and hard about how you are first going to get it off, and second how you are going to get it back on.

Unbolt cab bolts, steering column, linkage, unbolt the master cylinder from the booster, unhook harness at all points, and lift slowly.

I am probably underestimating your abilities, and I apologize if I offend.
