As a couple of others have said, that truck could be Hazel's long lost twin...
Paint looks good buffed out. How ever you are doing it, I would keep at it.

As far as the wheels and drop, I would start with the steelies like you mentioned and a 2.5"/4" drop. I would use a 2.5" drop spindle in the front and a 4" drop coil in the rear. That way if you would like the front lower, it is just a simple spring swap. I would not do any more that a 4-5" rear drop. More than that and you should run a C-notch for suspension travel.

FYI - those caps are from a 64-66 model, are those the ones that came with the truck when new? I have never seen them on a '67...
