I have HEI and its supposed to be an updated wiring harness for HEI. I started the engine for the first time today and it fired right up. Does that hook up on the starter itself then? What would be the sypmtoms of that not being hooked up?

On the diagram i have it says "temp gu" on the passenger
on the driver side, it says "temp sw". I think i found the wire, how do i tell if my harness has warning light?
