Re: Did u fix it up or drive it around for a while
Bought mine and drove it home. Did some minor repairs while waiting on the tags and registration. Now I am daily driving it and doing repairs as I can. Two weeks ago I replaced the drivers side floor pan. Last week I regreased the hubs and swapped out the exhaust. This weekend it is back to body work. Either replacing the passenger side floor pan or getting the cab corners/rockers swapped. Then its time for a motor upgrade (heads, cam, intake, HEI, and internal regulator alternator) or door repair. All the oil has been changed, most of the extra wiring has been removed (used to be a brush truck for a local fire dept) and the suspension is rebuilt. Not bad for owning the truck for 6 weeks and 1k more miles on the odometer. I say drive it and enjoy it. You can always pull it off the road for a week or two here and there as projects dictate. It is hard to stay motivated on a project that doesn't run.
