Not saying mine is the ONLY way .. but check out the flip idea / Hotchkis brackets for the front of the trailing arm mounts on my GMC build (the second link in my signature) . This will help with the pinion angle issues as well, especially if you're staying with stock trailing arms (?) They are a ***** to get off, but if you simply flip the bracket upside down it will change the angle of the rear pinion in that your truck will only 'think' it has been dropped about 3". .. when in reality you're 6-7" drop.
The Porterbuilt CNotch is incredible. I happen to have the upper shock bar I will sell you if you decide to go that route. I just ended up with an extra.
