A good way to track down leaks is with soapy water. What are you using for thread sealant? A good one to use is Loctite 545. It might be leaking through your threads and not the PTC itself.
When using PTC fittings, just make sure to cut the line very square at the end, and fully insert until it bottoms out. Then give it a light tug to ensure it is seated and the PTC fittings it grabbing it.
The soapy water will help track down that leak though.
