It all boils down to effort vs turns. The easier a box is to turn the more you turn it. Nothing wrong with a stock 24:1 box and I sure would not go a slower ratio yet. The single biggest "trick" is to remember to have the truck in motion when you are turning the wheel. If you are affecting the effective steering ratio with huge tires or incorrect offsets going for a "look", the consider a power steering coversion.
