So you used felt from Brothers, not the stuff listed in Blackdiesels thread?

Laquer thinner should soften and take paint off of chrome without damaging it. Some times you have to use something like an Exacto knife or razor blade. Do not use steel wool. There might be a residue but chrome polish will take care of that. I have been doing that a lot on my build the PO were not the best maskers when they repainted the first time.
