Although most LWB trucks use the longer 20 gallon tanks there were some LWB dual tank trucks that used the smaller 16 gallon tanks that will fit a SWB. I believe it was mostly 1/2 tons with gas engins in the 85 - 87 year range that used the 16 gallon tanks on both SWB and LWB when equipped with dual tanks.

FWIW, my '83 K2500 has dual 16 gal tanks, stock. Drives me craaaaazy.
