Re: 6.2-6.5 car hauler questions
6.2s had mechanical fuel pumps on engine,like a gas motor and were used through '93. The 6.5TD came out in late-92 and only in regular cab heavy 2500,3500,and 3500HD. The non-turbo 6.5 took the place of the 6.2 till it was dropped after a couple years Those were mechanical injected with electric lift pumps and didn't change in '93. From 94-on all diesels are electronic injection. 6.6 would be a Duramax.
