I dropped mine 4/6 and was told I shouldn't have to notch it. I have 2.5 drop spindles, 1.5 drop springs and a rear flip kit all from Western Chassis. My truck is in pieces so I can't really say much until I get all the weight back on it and put it back on the road. There are alot of threads on this subject. Take some time and do a search. Then you can see what they look like with the drops they have on.
