It's been my experience that many aftermarket/racing ignition items do indeed provide maximum performance, but often the cost is reliability or a short life cycle.
The 2nd (and last) time I found myself on foot when my truck wouldn’t start, I went back to stock HEI components and have never experienced a failure since.
