What is "the '71-'72 super type paint scheme"? There was no scheme specific to the Cheyenne Supers. If you mean the 400 series Deluxe Two-Tone, it could be had on any fleetside pickup at any trim level with the required bodyside moldings.
The lower bodyside moldings were not offered on stepside pickups after 70. Uppers were not available.
Cheyenne and Cheyenne Super trim stepside trucks deleted exterior bodyside trim from the packages. However 69-70 CST stepsides included cab and front fender moldings.
The only 69-72 stepside Two-Tones were the Conventional with a white roof and Custom Two-Tones, dark blue/med blue would be an example. Custom Two-Tone might have been available on stepsides.
There were special paint trucks but these are so marked on the SPID.
Finally if you decided to do this with the custom or deluxe stye what are you going to do about the seperation as it wraps around the cab corners?
