I have changed mine to a 69 camaro tank, the fit is good. Ive heard of 69 chevelle tanks being used as well as 70 monte carlo tank. I believe the positioning and mounting of all three of these is almost identical.
NOTE: Just saw your wanting the tank to totally fit within the rails------none of the above tanks are totally within the rails (they all stick outside the rails about 2 1/2" per side
