Thank you~ that gave me confidence to shut the hood like one would~ it closed tightly and opened very well! I'm happy! The original hood latch~ I closed the hood and I didn't think I'd ever get the hood opened~ luckily it didn't have a grill at the time and I could work from below to get it open.
