I am not going to get into why the cpp kits {the one that uses the GM steering box} Are not good! The new ones look ok.
What I will say is the drag link doesn't care if on top or the bottom front or back. and to avoid bump steer the drag link needs to be as close to the spring pivot {with the wheels pointed straight ahead} as possible. and in the center of the arc that it travels not parallel to the ground. If it is parallel to the ground. and not in the center of the arcs you will still get bump steer.
I reamed the arms my jeep and moved it from the bottom to the top of the arms.
