Thanks guys I have a confession to make. I've went back and forth, round and round with what I wanted for the final look on this truck. I purchased enamels, single stage, two stage, hell I probably got 700 bucks worth of paint. I decided after alot of testing and playing with paint that I would do something similar to the painting that was chizzler and others on here have done and layer on single stage enamels only something changed along the way. When I got the whole truck white and started to see it shine my vision changed again! So long story short, ol boog has a roll on paint job. There I feel better after admitting it and proud of the results so far
The top half of this panel has been wet sanded 3000 grit and buffed with megs 105 no polish yet. Bottom of the panel is untouched so you can see the difference:
Sorry for the bad quality but it was dark and my phones camera gets testy in dim light. Heres another pic after I got the whole drivers side sanded with 3000 and buffed with megs 105 no polish yet:
Another crappy pic of the passenger bed:
Purchased a Porter Cable 7424XP to do the buffing and polishing. Doesnt cut as fast as a rotary but great for beginners. I spent about 5 hours last night buffing 2'x2' areas and its coming out pretty darn nice. With the exception of not being able to move my arms this morning Im happy.
