Engines do need some heat in them. You can run them to cold.
The temp is what is worrying me. I did go with the stock temp thermostat.

OEM gauges have been known to be less than accurate.
I'm beginning to suspect that it is my gauge or temp sensor because it is constantly going back and forth and then it will stay at one temp and then go up and down again.
