Well its been raining all day but it stopped for 30 minutes and i went at it! I cut out the rest towards the door and ground down the lip a bit but i need to get a new grinding wheel. I then cut the floor pan down to fit the length and bent the lip up the way its suppose to be. (Read that convertibles lips go down and that's how the pan came). I then tested fit it to see how it looked. I still need to do some more cutting to fit the with as well as where it goes up on an angle. Plus my bent up lip isnt perfectly straight so i need to pound on it some more.
