I'm not positive but I think the big red valves are 3/8 inch. I just want 1/2 line, because you generally want the vavles to be the most restricted piece in the system. I'm not quite sure why, but thats what the guys around here told me.

I'd have to disagree with the person who told you that. Using 1/2" line downstream of the valves won't make it any faster that 3/8" line. You could use 2" line (for example) and it wouldn't be any faster because you still have a 3/8" valve. Are the bags 1/2" port or 3/8" port? Running 1/2" line between a 3/8" valve and a 3/8" port bag would make absolutely no sense.
